It's true! First called "CBS Television News" then "Douglas Edwards with the News". I checked under every title the show has been called since the 40's, and the oldest CBS News broadcast to have it's copyrights renewed is from 1975. I might be wrong, But I think Rick said the 60's would still be under copyrighted, Although I may of mis-understood him. But the 50's ones are in fact public domain.

Since you guys are chatting about CBS news being P.D., hasanyone checked out thde early programs of Today with Dave Garroway?

I just checked, and it seems like the 50's-era "Today" episodes are PD. I'm not 100% sure, But there is a very good chance. Anybody got 'em?

For that matter, any Garroway would be better than nothing.

For those that don't know, there's a downloadable OTR episode of Garroway on radio with Hugh Downs as a guest. Garroway makes Garry Moore seem like Moore is hyper.
